The Audrey egg cup has proved a good egg.. Made from terracotta clay and hand glazed.
I design and make everything in my home studio in the East Sussex countryside. My pieces are thrown on the wheel, trimmed and fired to bisque in the kiln to 1000 degrees. I then glaze the pieces before firing them again to 1250 degrees. The process can take up to 3 weeks and every item is small batch and unique. I use a combination of clays from volcanic to porcelain, as well as different stoneware. I often combine seeds and natural items I find in nature into the clay to create effects.
