This bowl has been handmade and carved using a technique called Sgraffito. The bowl is handmade on the wheel in two parts and joined. Once trimmed at leather hard stage a layer of slip is applied coating the inner bowl. Once this has dried the bowl is hand carved. The style of this is botanical.
