Thrown on the pottery wheel using earthenware clay, my Bettie Jugs are unique. Available in a few different colours and finishes.
The Process
Once the item is leather hard the piece is trimmed then bisque fired, hand painted glaze is applied and fired again at 1100C. The complete process takes around 2 weeks to complete.
Available in these Varient's:
- Milk- A soft off white finish with white interior.
- Dusty Blue fleck- A soft satin off white background with baby blue flecks and a white interior.
- Bronze- A white interior with a deep bronze gloss finish.
- Dark fleck- A soft white satin background with random dark brown and black flecks and a white interior.
- Stone- A textured stone like outer finish with a gloss white interior.
- Pearl Blue- A pearlescent finish which shines different pastel shades of blue to violet with a white interior.
All my collections are dishwasher safe. Hand washing is recommended for any handmade items.
All my home collections are designed for hot and cold food and beverages.

The exterior of the Bettie Jug feels tactile and glossy (exception of the Stone jug) contrasted by the smooth feel of the glazed interior similar to a shiny pebble.
My Bettie Jugs are handmade with love, made from my pottery studio in the East Sussex countryside.
Each of my items are unique and one off’s and it will carry the same high standard of craftsmanship.
Wrapping
All my pieces are packaged in my tissue paper with organic wrapping and my Karen Easter Ceramics gift tag. It will be encased in bubble wrap and placed in a double-walled cardboard box and filled with bio degradable chips or brown paper to protect it in transit.
